Unidentified martial artists (abbreviated UMA) is a term used by martial arts scholars that is introduced in Last Order.
History
Hegeor Hopper used the term to point out several space karatekas whose names and appearances directly correlated with their styles: Chupacabra, Cobra, Kraken, and Squiggle. They were among the more than a hundred karatekas who attempted to join the Space Karate Forces as reserve members before the Block-B semifinals of the Tenth Zenith of Things Tournament in ES 591. Zekka however considered the styles of the UMAs as well as those practiced by most of the aspiring karatekas as imitations of karate.[1]
