"Inside Looking Out" is a song by The Alan Parsons Project that appears on their 1987 album, Gaudi. The second half of it was originally sung in the Japanese version of Gunnm by Kaos for a Radio K.A.O.S. broadcast, but the lyrics were reworked for the English release by Viz Media, most likely due to copyright issues. It is explained in The Mystery of Psyhometry tech notes that accompany Angel of Chaos that one of the objects that was psychometried by Kaos was a Yamaha DX-7 digital synthesizer formerly owned by Alan Parsons.

LyricsEdit

Original Japanese version[1] English version[2]
To change the world...

A dreamer must be...
Someone who has
more determination than me

To free his soul...
A dreamer must fly...
Somewhere he must find
a better reason than I
The hands of time won't wait
And we may be too late...

Now is the hour
and the moment...
Don't let a day pass by...

I see the image in my mirror...

...coming closer, growing nearer,
and I don't know what to do...
...because the image is of you.

It's in my mirror...
in my mirror...
And what is love...
...but seeing others...
...those we want to know as brothers?

A reflection in the heart...
broken glass, our time apart
It's in my mirror...
in my mirror...
